TRADITIONAL WITH A TWIST

We recently infused some depth and warmth into this traditional bathroom in Haddington, East Lothian, with a matte finish throughout. Gas lamp-style lighting added to the period look, bringing more shadow and mood to the space. The layout was improved so it felt roomier, with classical touches flowing around it from our Burlington range, while retaining the helpful modern features.

Waterproofed Scots pine panelling surrounds the bath along with hidden silicone seals, and the Minerva shower contains marble-effect panels for a seamless fit. On the floor, subtle Ca' Pietra tiling gives the room a distinctively distressed finish. It all adds up to a characterful bathroom that befits this beautiful property.
