The brief: create a larger bathroom with a walk-in shower and a stylish free-standing bath.

We knocked down an existing partition stud wall and rebuilt a new one further back to enlarge the space. The ceiling was replastered for a more polished look, and then we turned our attention to the bathroom’s showpiece feature – the perfectly proportioned Lua bath from Laufen. 

This was then complemented by Laufen’s Ino vanity unit and offset basin, along with a wall-hung toilet from the same range. Large porcelain tiles with a lappato (semi-polished) finish enhanced the walls, as well as being easier to maintain thanks to fewer grout lines. Their ability to reflect light adds to the feeling of being in a larger space. An Ino tall unit and Laufen’s innovative Marbond shower tray - made from a cutting edge composite material containing recycled thermoplastic with superb anti-slip properties - completed the look.
